Inspection activity started on 29 June 2022 and ended on 6 July 2022. A registered manager is a person who has registered with the Care Quality Commission to manage the service. This service is required to have a registered manager. CQC regulates both the premises and the care provided, and both were looked at during this inspection. Coppice Lodge is a care home without nursing care. People in care homes receive accommodation and nursing and/or personal care as a single package under one contractual agreement dependent on their registration with us. An Expert by Experience is a person who has personal experience of using or caring for someone who uses this type of care service.Ĭoppice Lodge is a ‘care home’. This inspection was carried by one inspector and an Expert by Experience. This was conducted so we can understand the preparedness of the service in preventing or managing an infection outbreak, and to identify good practice we can share with other services. We looked at the overall quality of the service and provided a rating for the service under the Health and Social Care Act 2008.Īs part of this inspection we looked at the infection control and prevention measures in place. We checked whether the provider was meeting the legal requirements and regulations associated with the Act. "We asked the provider to take action to make improvements to ensure the service was safe, to ensure people were consulted about their care and support and to make sure people received the support they needed. The report added: "At our last inspection in January 2017, we found breaches of the legal regulations related to the safety of the home, consent and person-centred care.
